Machine Recycling Program

Have an ancient sewing machine that doesn't run anymore? We welcome your old machines here at BERNINA Sewing Center where we will take old machines off your hands and recycle them.

• Bring in a sewing machine of any brand that is not used, not wanted or not working.
• All machines to be recycled will be donated to Monticello United Brethren Church's Junk for Jesus Program. BERNINA Sewing Center will not sell any of these machines for any reason.
• Items donated to this program benefit mission work sponsored by the church, such as:
  • Helping build church in Maypen, Jamaica
  • Purchasing land for Sunday school and church building in Jamaica
  • Helping purchase plane tickets and set up house for missionary in the Philippines
  • Purchasing refrigerators and stove, helping repair heating locally
  • Finishing and roofing two churches in Haiti that survived earthquake
  • Putting in wells for fresh water for African hospital
  • Sending money to Samaritan's Purse for Haitian earthquake relief

If you have an unwanted machine that you would like get rid of, please feel free to bring it in, no appointment necessary!
